# mockups **showing your work in context** Illustrator is wonderful for creating vector designs like logos, brands, charts, illustrations, etc. While it is fun to see just the artwork, usually you want to show your work in context. Photoshop Smart Objects allow you to build (or download) templates that give you the ability to easily add your Illustrator work into a scene for context. We call these things Mockups. The idea is that the entire scene is built in Photoshop with one Smart Layer that allows you to drop in your artwork. You can link your Illustrator file or copy/paste selected elements into the Smart Layer. Instantly, your work is shown on a t-shirt, billboard, coffee cup, etc. Here are a few places where you can find premade mockups for download. - [Mockups Free](https://mockupsfree.com/) - [Mockups Design](https://mockups-design.com) - [Mockupworld](https://www.mockupworld.co/all-mockups/) - [Mockup Cloud](https://www.mockupcloud.com/free) - [Free Design Resources](https://freedesignresources.net/category/free-mockups/?_compatible_software=psd&_properties=smart-object) - [Freepik](https://www.freepik.com/search?format=search&last_filter=selection&last_value=1&query=Mockup&selection=1&type=psd) - [Unblast](https://unblast.com/mockups/) If you are feeling ambitious, you can make your mockups in Photoshop.
