# neat stuff Once again I've fallen out of the flow for posting these weekly updates. It seems there was too much friction in processing the posts. I was writing in [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md) and then migrating through [Quarto](https://quarto.org/) and uploading to [GitHub](https://github.com). While I liked having a [separate site](https://chad-bennett.github.io/neat-stuff/) for these posts, it is so much easier to just publish the Obsidian notes directly. So now I'm trying to resurrect the process yet again in a simpler format. Originally the goal of the project was to create a way to document and filter the interesting things that I found. Rather than clipping and forgetting a bunch of bookmarks somewhere, I liked the idea of processing links and maybe adding a few thoughts for myself. Some of the links get included in lists other parts of the site and some inspire full posts. It was supposed to be a tool to triage my inbox of ideas. I still think it is worth developing the habit and removing friction will help. Since I've been so busy with school and other projects, my backlog has gotten immense. There's a couple hundred clipped articles and bookmarks. My (non-existent) downtime would be well-spent processing the old stuff. Classes will be over soon and summer is coming. I'm hoping to build a better habit of going through my collection on a regular basis. And maybe cross-link these posts to the rest of my site. I'm envisioning including status logs in the weekly posts as well. I have an inconsistent log on [omg.lol](https://mister-chad.status.lol) and am considering adding a [micro.blog](https://micro.blog) as well. I love the [IndieWeb](https://indieweb.org) idea of [POSSE](https://indieweb.org/POSSE): Post (on) Own Site, Syndicate Elsewhere. The [[open web]] is a good thing. Mostly, I'm doing this for myself and have no expectations that anyone will ever actually see this. Still, any creative project is worth doing [[Work with the garage door up|with the garage door up]]. Some people do occasionally wander through and there might be something here for them. If you are a random wanderer who stumbled into my little world, please [[contact|take a minute to say hello]]. **update: 2025.05.25**
