# iteration
A way of developing and refining ideas by making and testing [[prototype]] models.
The idea is to work quickly and test solutions often. Early versions will be incomplete and incorrect but can be treated as important steps toward a viable final solution. Learn what works and what doesn't work and then build a newer, better solution for testing. By working through this process, you will eventually [[convergent thinking|converge]] on a quality final solution.
> You don't start out writing good stuff. You start out writing crap and thinking it's good stuff, and then gradually you get better at it. That's why I say one of the most valuable traits is persistence.
