# find your tribe
Show your [[learning in public]] in whatever form works for you leads to a connection with other like-minded souls. Put your work out there and see who you resonate with. This can lead to collaborations and commissions and community which can lead to shared knowledge and ideas.
I've been seeing the word "[Scenius](https://medium.com/salvo-faraday/what-is-the-scenius-15409eb6ac72)" a lot lately. It is a term coined by Brian Eno and highlighted in Austin Kleon's book "Show Your Work". The idea breaks down the myth of a lone genius and replaces it with the collective intelligence of a group: ie. **Genius is one and Scenius is many**. It is about how ideas are shared and evolve in a collaborative way. This [medium article by Alex Gentry](https://medium.com/salvo-faraday/what-is-the-scenius-15409eb6ac72) is a much deeper dive into the concept of a Scenius.
I love the idea and completely agree with the concept, but it feels like a total hipster term to me. I like the simpler, but longer **"Find Your Tribe"** because that connotes a sense of family, of community, of shared togetherness that can't be captured by a jargon-word like Scenius.
