# combinatorial creativity
Combinatorial Creativity is the ability to take seemingly different ideas and combine them into new and innovative ways. This process is also known as [[idea sex]] but can also be called synthesis or networked knowledge or cross-disciplinary creativity.
People who have the ability to remix unrelated ideas are usually the ones everyone consider to be **creative**. They are the ones that can "think outside the box" to come up with novel ideas.
Can be a rational and systematic approach or wildly abstracted.

_This is a huge topic. Here's my collection of resources to explore. Hopefully I can work through these and come up with a nice detailed article._
