# transforming objects
After you have created something with the [[vector drawing tools]], you can easily add a number of transformations to either the object or the layer (or both).
### quick transform from comp panel
**Right-Click** on the object in the Comp panel and scroll down to the **Transform** menu. From here you can choose options and tools for adjusting Position, Scale, Rotate, Flips, etc. All changes will be updated in the Timeline.

### transform from the timeline
From the Timeline panel, open up the settings for the selected layer and then open the **Transform** menu. All of the different transforms can be adjusted independently. All changes will be updated in the Comp display.
Note that all of the transform options have little stopwatches which means those settings can be animated over time.

### independent transformations
Take a look at your Timeline and notice that the Layer and each object on the layer have their own independent Transform menus. This gives you the flexibility to independently affect objects and entire layers.

### fun transforms
You can transform your object in fun ways with things like Pucker & Bloat, Twist, Zig-Zag, etc.
Select the object and go to the top of the Comp panel. Hit the little **Play button** on the **Add** setting to get a menu of options.

A new item will appear in your Timeline for that object. As always, it has a stopwatch so the effect can be animated over time.
