# convert image sequence to movie When creating an animation, you can set Maya to [[render image sequence|render an image sequence]], which creates a folder of individual images with a single image for each frame in the animation. This is how you can use Adobe After Effects to combine those images into a single movie file. In After Effects, use the pulldown menus for **File > Import > Multiple Files…** ![[Pasted image 20221211183832.png]] Navigate to the folder where you saved your image sequence. Choose the first image and After Effects will select the entire sequence. Press **Import**. ![[Pasted image 20221211184109.png]] Use the pulldown menus for **File > Export > Add to Adobe Media Encoder Queue…** After Effects will open up **Adobe Media Encoder**. ![[Pasted image 20221211184704.png]] Switch to Adobe Media Encoder. In the upper-right corner you will find the render **Queue**. You can adjust settings for format and quality as well as where you to save the finished file. The defaults should be OK for you.
